Deciding to promote Valentines day or not.......
To be honest, I have always been a little torn about Valentines Day. In grade school, I always liked an excuse to eat pretty cookies and chocolates, but as I got older I have started to see how wasteful and unnecessary it is. Not to mention how many single people that are left feeling plain miserable about their state specifically on this day (in addition to so many other holidays!).
But it doesn't have to be that way.
I contemplated just boycotting Valentines day entirely with my business, not promoting any products for it. But then though, you know if people are going to be buying something anyway, and I can give them a way to buy things that are plastic free and locally made, then it is progress. I now carry quite a few products that would make excellent Valentines day gifts. Body Butter in Lavender, Strawberry and Sandlewood, Candles in Lemongrass-mint, Rose-vanilla, and Berry, and Lavender Bath Salts, in additional to a great number of gorgeous locally made bar soaps from Soap So Co. and Oak and Aspen Soapery.
So there you have it. Someone who kinda thinks Valentines Day is a bunch of Bull$&#! is promoting Valentines Day. Make any sense? Maybe just a little. Now if I could only find a way to get people their little heart shaped chocolates plastic free!

Being a single gal that often happily flies solo
I was a little conflicted about promoting Valentine's
Day Gifts through my business.
